Manor Family

James Issac Manor
 abt.1856-abt. 1908

My search continues for the parents of James Manor and his wife, Nettie Matilda Jane Fox. The following is all the information I have collected to date.

1880 TN Gibson Co. ED 46 Sheet 33 Line 27.  Family 291 & 292.

James Maner age 26 b. TN
Tilda  wife  age 26 b. TN
Dorsia E. daughter age 7 b. TN
Arvy P.E. daughter age 4 b. TN
Emit D.H. son age 4 mos. b. TN

1900 TX Census Fannin County, Precinct 5
Vol. 39 ED 74 Sheet 12 Line 80

James Maner May 1860 40 born in TN
Nettie Jan 1861 39 b. TN
Emmit Feb 1881 19 b. TN
Charles May 1884 16 b. TN
Elsie Jan 1892 8 b. TX
Abilee Feb 1897 3 b. TX (Abby Lee)
Lonnie Dec 1899 6 mos. b. TX

The above census' tells us that James and Nettie moved from TN to TX sometime between the birth of Charles in 1884 and the birth of Elsie in 1892 in Texas. Since the daughters Dorsia and Arby did not move to Texas (according to the census in Texas) I put them moving to TX in about 1890 as Arby would of been age 14 then, and I do not think they would of left her in TN before the age of 14. Its a good estimate anyway.

Found in marriage records in Tennessee

Jas. Mainard and Malinda J. Fox
2 April 1872
Gibson Co. TN
(this would be about the right time for them to marry and to have had their first child)

In  a Fannin County Cemetery Inscription book was found:
