Dittus died on 28 February 1998 at Wishek Hospital, Wishek, McIntosh County, North Dakota, at age 67 years, 7 months and 12 days.1,2,3 He was buried on 4 March 1998 in the Nazareth Congregational Cemetery, located in Fredonia, Logan County, North Dakota.3
