Johann Gottlieb Luz was born on 10 February 1862 at Haiterbach, Oberamt Calw, Schwarzwaldkreis, Württemberg.1 He was the son of Johann Georg Luz and Elisabetha Helber.1 Johann Gottlieb Luz married, at age 24, Friederike Magdalene Maier, age 22, daughter of Jakob Friedrich Maier and Elisabetha Catharina Rauschenberger, on Monday, 14 June 1886 at Haiterbach, Oberamt Calw, Schwarzwaldkreis, Württemberg, German Empire.1 Johann Gottlieb Luz died on 26 December 1953 at Haiterbach, District of Calw, Baden-Württemberg, West Germany, at age 91 years, 10 months and 16 days.1
