Delzells in the Revolutionary War

DELZELLS IN THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR

       William Delzell, born in Berks County, Pennsylvania, in 1755; enlisted in 1775 under Colonel Atlee; in battle of Long Island; taken prisoner at Fort Washington, November 16, 1776 and paroled in February 1777.  He died in Cincinnati in 1837, having previously lived many years in the county.  Historical and Philosophical Library, University of Cincinnati.
