Early American Dalzells and Delzells

Researchers

I have received many letters, Emails and family histories which have been very helpful.  Of these there are too many to mention individually.

There are a number of f amily historians and genealogists, however, who have contributed major manuscripts and books. These are listed below.

Much of the information listed below is not available except through individual family members, or possibly in local libraries, however, I would be pleased to provide additional information about the items.

I have included my reference “MyRef” numbers so I can located the reference if necessary. I would be very pleased to add contributors.

Delzell Ties, A History of the Family of John Dalzell of Blount County, Tennessee. Library of Congres Catalog Card No.; 77-89856.  I can't add praise enough for the great work done by Hugh Wayland Delzell. He worked with an old fashioned ditto machine and without a data base. Delzell Ties is in my view the definitive work in this field. Regretably, it is out of print, although there may be copies in scattered libraries, escpecially in Blount and
