Our Italian lines came from the area of Campobasso in Italy. Our Alaura line has been traced to our DiLauro ancestors in Ferrazzano and beyond that to Ripalimosano. The Speach line was originally Spicciati and they were from Mirabello which is not too far from Ferrazzano. The Baranello line were from the village of Baranello in the same area. Although we did not think they were blood relations we have since discovered they are and in several ways. It seems that all of our Italian lines came from the same area and intermarried, even after they came to the States.

Francesco Spicciati
Born 1876 in Italy. Married Marianne Granata in 1896 in Syracuse, Onondaga County, NY. They lived on the North Side of Syracuse on North State Street where their children were all born and even some of their grandchildren. He died 1940 in Syracuse, NY and is buried in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse, NY.

Born 18 Feb 1874 in Ferrazzano, Italy. Daughter of Donato Granata and Angelamaria Valerio. Died 1963 in Syracuse and is buried with her husband and her mother.

Born 10 Oct 1882 in Ferrazzano, Italy. Married Teresa (Angelateresa) Fazio on 7 Nov 1903 in Syracuse, Onondaga County, NY. He died on 15 Feb 1908 in Syracuse while working at his job for the railroad. He is buried in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse, NY.
Teresa Fazio
Born 2 Oct 1883 in Ferrazzano, Italy. The daughter of Donato Giovanni Di Fazio and Carlotta Iadiano. She died 31 Oct 1959 in Syracuse, NY and is buried in Assumption Cemetery. After the death of Nicola, at which time she was pregnant with their second child, Teresa moved in with cousins and later married their son, Michael Baranello.

Born 30 Sep 1838 in Ferrazzano, Italy. Married Angelina (Angelantonia) Albino on 5 Mar 1860 in Ferrazzano. He emigrated to the United States about 1886. He died on 23 May 1887 of Typhoid Pneumonia in Cortland County, NY.

Born 14 May 1843 in Ferrazzano. Daughter of Giacomo and Teresa Albino. She died 22 Sep 1898 in Ferrazzano, Italy. It was after her death that her three sons emmigrated to the United States.

Born 20 Feb 1815 in Ferrazzano. Married Maria Giovana Luise on 15 Aug 1835 in Ferrazzano. He died 1860-1889 in Naples or Campobasso, but not in Ferrazzano. He was a farmer and when he married his name was changed to Alaura.

Born about 1792 in Ferrazzano. Married Maria Discenza on 17 Mar 1812 in Ferrazzano. He died on 13 Apr 1866 in Ferrazzano and at that time his last name was recorded as Alaura.

Maria was christened on 16 Apr 1791 in Ferrazzano and she died 16 Jul 1866 in Ferrazzano. She was the daughter of Michelangelo Discenza and Giuliana Iadiano. Her name was recorded as Maria Felicita at baptism, Marianna at the time of her marriage and Mariagiovanna at her death.
