Sir,
The evidence in support of your claim, under the act of June 7, 1832, has been examined and the papers are herewith returned. The following is a statement of your case in tabular form. On comparing these papers with the following rules nd the subjoined notes you will readily perceive that objections exist, which must be removed before a pension can be allowed. The notes and the regulations will show what is necessary to be done. These points to which your attention is more particularly directed, you will find marked in the margins with a brace, (thus }). You will, when you return your papers to this Department, send this printed letter with them, and you will, by complying with this request, greatly facilitate the investigation of your claim.

On this the 21st day of January A.D. 1853 personally appeared before same Samuel May, an acting Justice of the Peace in and for the county of Yadkin and state of aforesaid Conrad Wishon who being duly sworn according to law, on his oath sainto that he has known Frederick Danner and Catherine Danner for more than sixty five years, that he lived a near neighbor to them during that time, that they lived together as man and wife up to their death and were considered and reputed by all who knew them to be man and wife, and to have been married, that he had often heard Joseph Murphy, a minister of the gospel, say that he married the aforesaid Frederick Danner and Catherine Danner, That the said Joseph Murphy is dead and he further declares that he does not believe that there is a public or private record of the above named marriage, nor any living witness to this fact. He further states the aforesaid Frederick Danner was during his life a Revolutionary Pensioner, and drew a pension during his life. He further declares that the aforesaid Catherine Danner is dead that she died on the 17th day of July A.D. 1844 - He further swears the he is acquainted with Adam Danner, Catherine Danner Munday, Saml. Danner, John Danner, Jacob Danner who make the forgoing declarations that he has known them from their infancy and that they are the children of the aforesaid Frederick Danner and Catherine Danner , and that the record of their births and ages as set forth in the accompanying proofs is true and correct.
He further swears that he is an entirely disinterested witness and expects no benefit from the afore claim what ever. his

On this the 21st day of January AD 1863 personally appeared before me one Samuel May acting Justice of the Peace in and for the County and State aforesaid Conrad Wishon and William May who being duly sworn according to law say that they were acquainted with Frederick Danner and Catharine who on ?? to and spoken of in this foregoing affidavit that they lived together as man and wife, were respected by their neighbors to be man & wife and that these persons who make this foregoing declarations are the lawful children of the aforesaid Frederick and Catharine Danner. They further swear that the aforesaid Frederick Danner died, that he died on the 14th day of August AD 1839. And that his wife the said Catharine Danner remained a widow after his death until the 6th 17th day of February July AD 1844 when she died. They also swear that they are disinterested witnesses sworn to ????before me this day and date above mentioned and I certify that these witnesses Conrad Wishon and William May are men of truth and that I believe the facts ?? by them to be true.

Armstrong, Clerk of the Court of Pleas & quarters Sessions for Surry county do hearby certify that satisfactory evidence has been this day furnished the said court by the Deposition of Peter Shermer & the original family record that the aforesaid Frederick & Catherine Dannar were lawfully married in the years of 1782 and that they did live together as husband & wife up to his death.
