This is my GreatGrandmother Caroline GÜTE, the wife of Jacob Christophel. Caroline came to the US in 1861, landed in New Orleans and ended up in Cincinnati where she married Jacob. I know nothing of her experinces during the time it took her to get from New Orleans to Cincinnati.
