New Kensington, PA, USA founded in 1891
1896
There's a ferry across the Allegheny Ricer

In 1902 you can see the 9th Street Bridge was built.
Later named the C.L. Schmitt Bridge

New Kensington in it's hay day.
1950's 60's
The Alcoa Aluminum plant pretty much takes up the river front.

An important memory for me.
This was the New Kensington High School early on when our father was young
then made into the Ridge Avenue Junior High School that I went to.
Unfortunately it was torn down several years ago.
A very original building that was like a castle to me.
The top story in the center was one giant study hall room.
