This page is dedicated to those brave men including my Great Great Grandfather who fought, died and were imprisoned for their beliefs.
This research was started because of my G G Grandfather Mitchell M. Burford. I had suspected, but was not sure that he had participated in the War of Northern Aggression until I was in my 30's and have since been able to find out quite a bit more. Of course the search will never end, and I will continue to fill in information for the entire 42nd and not just his unit but the others listed and more as I can find them. This will allow all of us to get more of a feeling for what it was like for them to live in that time.
I have had to move my site and now am rebuilding it from scratch. I'm always trying to add more to the site, so keep coming back and contribute any information you have and I'll add it so everyone can share and learn more about the men from the 42nd.
