This map shows the two Pearis Raymond plots marked in red. Township 7-North and Range 8-West (also called Appanoose Township) is just Northeast of Nauvoo. The smaller 20 acre lot is the N ½ of the NE ¼ of the SW ¼ of section 15. The 80 acre lot is cornered in the northeast corner of the NE quarter of section 34. It appears from old maps that the south side of the lot fronted a county road of the time leading directly to Nauvoo.
