The Paul Raymond Family
in the 1850 Census

I've tried to collect here the 1850 census entries for the descendents
of Paul Raymond of Bristol, Vermont.
Raymonds in the 1850 Census
The official enumeration date for the 1850 census was the first day of June, 1850.
In 1850 Paul Sr. would have been 80 and his wife Rebecca 80 to 85. Apparently, they have passed away.
Paul's children:
- Pearis would have been 60, but passed away four years earlier. His wife, Rebecca, is 59 and has remarried Samuel Williams. She is enumerated in Iowa but listed as Clarinda Williams, age 60. She is again enumerated in Utah in 1851 where she is correctly enumerated as Rebecca Williams, age 60.
- Lemuel is 52 (not 56?) and has moved to Rockford, Illinois.
- Paul Jr. is 54 and still living in Bristol.
Pearis and Rebecca' children:
- Alonzo is 30 when enumerated in Iowa. He moves to the Utah (Deseret) territory and is again enumerated there.
- Wallace is 26 and living in Iowa.
- Nelson would have been 25, but according to Alonzo, Nelson died around 1844. I assume Alonzo would know, but someone should make a complete search of the 1850 census to see if a candidate Nelson Raymond turns up anywhere..
- Clarinda G. is 19. She is living with her mother, Rebecca, and is enumerated in both Iowa and Utah.
- Louisa Elizabeth is enumerated three times in the 1850 census! She is enumerated with her mother both in Iowa and Utah. She is also enumerated in Utah apparently as a nanny for Nelson and Susan Whipple.
