JOHN L. NEWMAN
JOHN L. NEWMAN, sixth child of John and Emma Newman, was born February 25, 1896. Johnny spent his entire life on the farm. He was a carpenter by trade. He married, age 25, ADDIE PRICE, age 24, on September 25, 1921. Addie was born June 4, 1897 and died, age 38, December 11, 1937. To this union two children were born. Johnny later married AM TAYLOR and they were divorced. Johnny, age 47, married the third time to ESSIE DORIS INGRAM on December 29, 1943. To this union five children wee born. Johnny died on October 4, 1974 and is buried at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Garrison, Texas.

1. D. H. NEWMAN, first child of John and Addie Newman was born July 6, 1923. D. H. spent three years in the service during World War II. He married MARY ANN RICHARDS on October 2, 1943. Mary was born July 5, 1928. D. H. was employed with Acme Brick Company and retired after thirty on years of service.

a. DANIEL HENRY NEWMAN, first child of D. H. and Mary Newman, was born June 27, 1945. He married SYLVIA JEANNIE RECTOR on August 28, 1965. To this union three were born. They were divorced and he later married JANET EBARB FRANKS on July 3, 1986. She was previously married and had two sons, GREG FRANKS and KENNY FRANKS. D. H. died on march 5, 1990 in Las Vegas from a heart attack. He is buried at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Garrison, Texas.

b. EARL LEE NEWMAN, second child of D.H. and Mary Newman, was born July 13, 1947. He married SANDRA RECTOR on July 8, 1967. To this union RODNEY EARL NEWMAN, born December 5, 1969 and SANDY MICHELLE NEWMAN, born October 26, 1973.
c. KATHY ANN NEWMAN, third child of D. H. and Mary Newman, was born November 7, 1950. She married DANNY CLAUDE LUNSFORD. They were divorced. To this union GREGORY KEITH LUNSFORD, born May 819, 1968 and DAN ALLEN LUNSFORD, born July 18, 1975.
d. LUDIE MAE NEWMAN, fourth child of D. H. and Mary Newman, was born December 11, 1957. She married RAYBERT LYNN DEES on February 28,1976. To this union CRYSTAL DONNYEL DEES was born November 24, 1981.
2. ALBERT THURMAN NEWMAN, second child of John and Addie Newman, was born May 5, 1926. Thurman, age 24, died February 3, 1951 and is buried at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Garrison, Texas.
3. JOHN RUSSELL NEWMAN, first child of John and Essie Doris Newman, was born October 2, 1944. He married KITTY (last name unknown). To this union JOHN RUSSELL NEWMAN, JR., born May 5, 1965 and MELVA LYNN NEWMAN, born June 1, 1967.
4. EMMA NEWMAN, third child of John and Essie Doris Newman, was born November 30, 1945. She married ERNEST MCBRIDE and to this union two children were born and died at birth and are buried at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Garrison. Emma died, age 38, March 3, 1984 and is buried at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Garrison, Texas.
5. MILDRED NEWMAN, third child of John and Essie Doris Newman, was born November 12, 1948. She married JAMES WEATHERLY and NANCY DORA WEATHERLY was born. They were divorced and she married JAMES ALLEN. To this union CHRISTI SUSAN ALLEN was born.
6. QUINN L. NEWMAN, fourth child of John and Essie Doris Newman, was born May 2, 1950. He married LINDA KYLES on June 26, 1971. They were divorced. He later married CHARLOTTE MARTIN on November 15, 1986. Quinn died on February 5, 1992 and is buried at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Garrison, Texas.
7. GARDNER NEWMAN, fifth child of John and Essie Doris Newman, was born September 28, 1951. He is a 1972 graduate of Mt. Enterprise School. He married, age 24, MARSHA GAIL SANDIFER, age 24, on October 2, 1975. Marsha was born December 10, 1951. To this union no children were born.
