-He lived in a dugout on the ranch/farm and one
morning his dad are getting ready to go east for
supples. He would hollar at Newt in the mornings and
he would get up at first hollar. This particular
morning he did not appear after the first hollar so
Reese Jones Fuston hollared again and headed out.
Some time later someone went to check on him and
found him to be very ill. A rider was sent to catch
Reese Jones Fuston but he didn't make it back before
Newt died. It is possible he died from a snakebite,
sleeping in the dugout.
MISC: A hat belonging to him and possibly his father
before him is in the possession of Glen Johnson.

     Gladys Fuston was born circa 1910 at Kansas.¹ She was the daughter of Zachary 'Zack' Leroy Fuston and Daisey Matney.¹ Gladys Fuston died in 1919 at Kansas.¹
