Ellis, Grady Austin, 65, of Sherwood Drive, died Friday in a localhospital. A native of Flintstone, Ga., he was the son of the late Ernestand Blanche Suit Ellis. A veteran of World War II, he was a member ofSpring Creek Baptist Church, American Legion, VFW and the TennesseeGasoline Dealers Association. He had operated Eastgate Exxon, Brown'sFerry Amoco Station and other service stations. Survivors include hiswife, Betty Ellis; two daughters, Linda Day and Rhonda Bryan, both ofChattanooga; Two sisters, Ruth Hood, Chattanooga, and Ruby Sanders,Hixson; brother, Buddy Ellis, Chattanooga; three grandchildren; severalnieces and nephews. Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday in the funeralhome chapel with the Rev. Michael Steele officiating. Burial will be inTennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 2-4 and7-9 p.m today at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

     Sidney Jackson Ellis was born on 29 December 1895 at Negreet, Sabine Parish, Louisiana.^1,2 He was the son of William Green Ellis and Lacero Mary Ann Mims.² Sidney Jackson Ellis married Cecil Francis Havenhill on 17 November 1918 at Vincent, Oklahoma, Francis and Sidney had a set of triplet sons who died not long after birth.² Sidney Jackson Ellis died on 27 April 1980 at Mesquite, Dallas County, Texas, at age 84.² He was buried after 27 April 1980 at Memorial Cemetery, Garland, Dallas County, Texas.²

     William Green Ellis was born on 22 March 1870 at Causeyville, Lauderdale County, Mississippi.² He married Lacero Mary Ann Mims, daughter of Josiah Jackson Mims and Lacero Fernandoz Martin, on 17 February 1895 at Sabine Parish, Louisiana.^3,1,4,2 William Green Ellis died in November 1937 at Hope, Hempstead County, Arkansas, at age 67.² He was buried in November 1937 at Water Creek Church, Guernsey Cross, Hope, Hempstead County, Arkansas.²

     James Hugh Elmore was born circa 1830.¹ He married Nancy Tillman Gault, daughter of Hugh M. Gault and Martha A. Floyd, on 8 October 1851.¹

     Nettie Belle Elmore was born in April 1870 at Benton County, Tennessee.¹ She married Thomas Lee Hargis, son of Richard Ingram Hargis and Mary Elizabeth Clayton, on 10 September 1890 at Benton County, Tennessee.¹

     Elizabeth Jane "Lizzie" Elrod was born on 4 October 1870 at Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia.¹ She married Thomas Walter Nutt, son of Robert Mccowan Nutt and Jane Ellis, on 3 January 1889 at Greene County, Arkansas.^2,1 Elizabeth Jane "Lizzie" Elrod died on 27 June 1948 at age 77.¹

     (?) Emily was born circa 1830 at Illinois.¹ She married Andrew J Hargis, son of Hardin Hargis and (?) Katherine, circa 1848.¹

     Raymond Lee Emily was born on 28 August 1947.¹ He was the son of Geneva Bell Hargis.¹ Raymond Lee Emily died in 1995.¹

     Ben England was born circa 1875.¹ He married Amanda Milligan, daughter of Robert L. Milligan and Elizabeth Johnson, circa 1896.¹

     Edgar England was born on 14 December 1921 at Tooele, Tooele County, Utah.¹ He died between 1985 and 1986 at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah.¹ He was buried at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah.¹

     Sarah Ann Epley was born circa 1830 at Tennessee.¹ She married Robert S. Holt, son of James Holt and Jane Driskill, circa 1845 at Missouri.¹ Sarah Ann Epley died after 1850 at Missouri.¹

     Winifred Eppinger was born on 1 July 1763 at Savannah, Georgia.¹ She married Joseph Roberts, son of Richard Roberts and Elizabeth Lynden Montgomery, circa 1793 at North Carolina.²
     It is not known for sure if this is the first wife of Joseph Roberts. Winifred was the daughter of John and Barbara Mayers of Savannah, Georgia.²
