TRIBUTE TO A FRIEND:Where as: On Friday August fifth, year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred forty nine God saw fit to remove from among us our beloved friend and benefactor Mrs. Cora Rowland Roberts. We have lost a humanitarian and a Christian friend. She was a humanitarian because of the generosity, benevolence and sympathetic service that she rendered these in need of her service and assistance. She was a Christian and a faithful servant of God, because of the understanding and Christ-like life that she had led in her community. Be it resolved that these who are left to carry on will pattern their lives by this great fallen leader. "So live that when thy mysterious realm where each shall take his chamber in the silent halls of death, thou go not like a quarry slave at night, scouraged to his dungeon, but sustained and soothed by unfaltering trust. Approach thy grave, like one who wrapes the drappery of his couch about him and lies down to pleasant dreames." (Tribute to a Friend, To the Familyof Mrs. Cora Rowland Roberts, Written by Mary L.
