     Lacero Fernandoz Martin was born November 17, 1844 in Randolph County, GA; The minutes of Central Baptist Church at the time of Lacera's mother's death states that James Hiram and Loucretia moved to Randolph County, GA after their marriage and lived there until they came to Louisiana in 1854. Since Lacera was born in 1844 this says that her place of birth would have to be Randolph County, GA.7,6,8,3 She was the daughter of James Hiram Martin Sr. and Martha Loucretia Reddish.4,5,3,6 Lacero Fernandoz Martin and Josiah Jackson Mims obtained a marriage license in Natchitoches Parish, LA on January 31, 1861.9 Lacero Fernandoz Martin died on 17 August 1912 at Robeline, Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana, at age 67.10,2,3 She was buried after August 17, 1912 in the Central Baptist Church Cemetery near Robeline, Natchitoches Parish, LA.11,2,3

     Martha Martin married James Sanford (Samford), son of George Sanford (Samford) and M. Of Jm. Unknown, According to John Thomas, a descendent of James Samford and Jane Martin through their daughter Mattie who married Acie B. Enlow Sturdivant, James and Martha, the sister of Jane, never married. They did have a child out of wedlock and was supposed to pay a certain amount of child support. He says he has the court documents that indicate this. He does not know what happened to the child. She was to be cared for by one of the grandmothers, but he does not know if it was the Martin or Samford grandmother.2
