The Bataan death march took place in the month of April, 1942. This is in the middle of the hottest part of the year in the Philippines. The entire march was from the southern part of Bataan province to the town of San Fernando, Pampanga where they were loaded onto box cars for the rest of the trip to Tarlac province where they were imprisoned.^1,2
