     Abraham Hargis was born in 1788 at Russell County, Virginia.² He was the son of John Hargis and Jane Pyron.² Abraham Hargis married Susannah Price on 16 November 1813 at Pulaski County, Kentucky.³ Abraham Hargis died in 1842 at Pulaski County, Kentucky.² He was buried in 1842 at Old Bent Cemetery, Pulaski County, Kentucky.⁴
     Abraham secured a grant of land known as the Perry Barnes Place in Baker Hollow.

     Abraham Hargis (3) was born on 30 September 1783 at Caswell County, North Carolina.^3,1,2 He was the son of William Hargis (3) and Elizabeth Jay.^1,3,4 Abraham Hargis (3) married Elizabeth Kilgore in 1800 at Person County, North Carolina.¹ Abraham Hargis (3) died after 16 April 1832 at Battle Creek, Marion County, Tennessee.⁴
     He was a soldier in the War of 1812 and took part in the Indian wars in FL. He became a land owner in Marion County TN on the Headwaters of Battle Creek in 1824.⁴

     Abraham B. Hargis was born on 23 February 1869 at Battle Creek, Tennessee.¹ He was the son of William Lee Hargis and Elisabeth Richardson.¹ Abraham B. Hargis married Barbara Jane Headrick.¹ Abraham B. Hargis died on 18 February 1961 at age 91.¹ He was buried at Fall Creek Cemetery, Gruelti, Tennessee.¹

     Abraham Bohannon Hargis was born on 28 September 1869.^1,2 He was the son of James Hargis and Elizabeth M. Montgomery.^1,2 Abraham Bohannon Hargis married Hannah Holleman Ferrell.^1,2 Abraham Bohannon Hargis died on 26 May 1935 at age 65.^1,2

     Abraham Dallas Hargis was born circa 1870.¹ He was the son of Abraham Dallas Hargis and Mary Elizabeth Travis.¹

     Abraham Dallas Hargis was born on 4 January 1844 at Tennessee.¹ He was the son of Thomas Jefferson Hargis and Mary Polly Gunter.¹ Abraham Dallas Hargis married Mary Elizabeth Travis on 22 December 1864.¹

     Abraham Henry Hargis was born on 2 April 1884.¹ He was the son of Benjamin Franklin Hargis and Martha Matilda Owens.¹ Abraham Henry Hargis married Martha Jane Culpepper.¹

     Abraham Hargis Jr was born in 1859 at of Marion, Tennessee.¹ He was the son of Abraham Hargis Sr. and Louisa Mitchel.¹

     Abraham Lea Hargis I was born on 7 January 1706/7 at Charles County, Maryland.⁵ He was the son of Thomas Lea Hargis.^1,2,4 Abraham Lea Hargis I married Elizabeth Nalley, daughter of Richard Nalley, in 1739 at Charles County, Maryland.^5,4 Abraham Lea Hargis I died in 1800 at Orange County, North Carolina.⁵ He was buried at Orange County, North Carolina.⁵
     Abraham Lea Hargis I and Elizabeth Nalley immigrated after 1739 to Prince County, Maryland, from Charles County, MY.⁴ The name may be spelled "Hargiss." It is found both ways in the census. He is listed in the 1800 Person County, NC census. He lived with 10 other family members and one slave, but his wife Elizabeth is not one of them. There is a Abrim Hargiss in the Hillsborough District, Caswell County, St. Luke's District, NC in the 1790 census. He purchased 100 acres of land in Person County in 1795 (Book B p80).⁶

     Abraham Lea Hargis II was born on 10 September 1763 at Fairfax County, Virginia.^2,1,4 He was the son of Abraham Lea Hargis I and Elizabeth Nalley.^1,3,2 Abraham Lea Hargis II married Elizabeth Kilgore on 1 August 1782 at Caswell County, North Carolina.^2,4,1 Abraham Lea Hargis II died on 2 November 1827 at Person County, North Carolina, at age 64.^1,2,4 His estate was probated after 30 August 1827 at Person County, North Carolina, Witnesses were John Moore and Jesse Hargis.²
     Abraham received 228 acres on Red River between St. and Sulphur Creek for his service in the Revolution. His Revolutionary War Pension Certificate was number 3270 in North Carolina.^5,3 He left a will on 30 August 1827 at Person County, North Carolina, Witnesses were John Moore and Jesse Hargis.²

     Abraham Lincoln Hargis was born on 10 November 1846 at Wright County, Missouri.¹ He was the son of John Hargis and Isabel Clipper.¹ Abraham Lincoln Hargis married Mary M. Amock on 21 October 1866 at Webster County, Missouri.¹ Abraham Lincoln Hargis died on 11 December 1929 at Webster County, Missouri, at age 83.¹

     Abraham S. Hargis was born on 23 October 1813 at Orange County, North Carolina.¹ He was the son of Lionel Dennis Hargis and Drucilla Ann Shaw.¹ Abraham S. Hargis married Lydia Delilah Bobo on 27 October 1841 at Maury County, Tennessee.¹ Abraham S. Hargis died circa 1860.¹

     Abraham Hargis Sr. was born in 1819 at Tennessee.¹ He was the son of Abner Hargis and Nancy Smith.¹ Abraham Hargis Sr. married Louisa Mitchel on 12 September 1848 at Marion County, Tennessee.¹ Abraham Hargis Sr. died in 1900.¹
     Abraham Hargis Sr. was baptized in the LDS church on 22 February 1992.¹

     Adaline Hargis was born in 1849 at of Tennessee.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Hargis and (?) Jane.¹

     Adrian Arthur Hargis was born on 28 December 1905 at Benton County, Tennessee.¹ He was the son of Richard Albert Hargis and Ether Presson.¹ Adrian Arthur Hargis married Cecilia Vivian Grinstead on 8 November 1930.¹

     Agie Hargis was born circa 1883.¹ She was the daughter of Jackson Washington Mcleary Hargis and Fannie Beasley.¹

     Ailey Hargis Hargis was born in 1863.¹ She was the daughter of James G. Hargis and Sarah Ann Birdwell.¹

     Albert Hargis was born on 6 September 1913 at Whetstone, Pulaski County, Kentucky.¹ He was the son of John Lewis "Jack" Hargis and Martha Stogsdill.² Albert Hargis died on 23 April 1986 at Lexington, Kentucky, at age 72.¹ He was buried at Whetstone Cemetery, Pulaski County, Kentucky.¹

     Albert Dennis Hargis was born on 15 January 1907.¹ He was the son of Millard Fillmore Hargis and Ledora Lipe.¹ Albert Dennis Hargis married Thelma Maude Brooks on 14 September 1927.¹

     Alexander Alvah Hargis was born on 24 November 1856 at of Arkansas.¹ He was the son of Jonathan Alexander C. Hargis and Theresa C. Rosa Bennett.¹ Alexander Alvah Hargis married Drusilla Osborn circa 1879 at of Arkansas.¹ Alexander Alvah Hargis died on 9 January 1923 at age 66.¹

     Alexander Floyd Hargis was born in 1802 at Orange County, South Carolina.¹ He was the son of Abraham Hargis (3) and Elizabeth Kilgore.¹ Alexander Floyd Hargis married Mahala Unknown circa 1830 at Tennessee.¹ Alexander Floyd Hargis died in 1863 at Hughes Springs, Texas.¹ He was buried at Hargiss Cemetery, Hughes Springs, Texas.¹
     His family moved from Orange County South Carolina to Tennessee when he was a child.
He married in Tennessee, and then moved to Shelby County Alabama for a short while, and
then to Republic of Texas with his wife and oldest child sometime between 1834 and 1842.
He was a farmer, and owned a lot of land. According to the 1850
census, he owned over 1200 acres in Titus County. He was buried on
his land, about 5 mile NW Of Hughes Springs Texas. A 2 acre plot of
land surrounding that grave site was set aside 13 years later, by his
son Thomas Alexander Hargiss to be a family cemetery.

     Alfins O.P Hargis was born circa 1834.¹ He was the son of Richard Allen Hargis and Susan Nayla.¹

     Alfred Hargis was born on 14 October 1906 at Gruelti, Tennessee.¹ He was the son of Abraham B. Hargis and Barbara Jane Headrick.¹ Alfred Hargis married I. Troxter.¹

     Alice Juanita Hargis was born on 29 January 1924 at Kaufman, Kaufman County, Texas.¹ She was the daughter of Hattie Mccullough Hargis and Ola Green Webb.¹ Alice Juanita Hargis died on 28 August 1963 at Dallas, Dallas County, Texas, at age 39.¹ She was buried at Restland Cemetery, Dallas, Dallas County, Texas.¹
     Alice Juanita Hargis was baptized in the LDS church on 8 February 1992.¹

     Alma Hargis was born on 3 November 1914 at Whetstone, Pulaski County, Kentucky.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Hargis.¹ Alma Hargis died on 5 October 1998 at Somerset, Pulaski County, Kentucky, at age 83.¹

     Alma Lena Hargis was born on 3 February 1901 at Tennessee.¹ She was the daughter of Horace Smith Hargis and Stella Pafford.¹ Alma Lena Hargis married Dorsey B. "Doss" Farrar on 5 October 1919 at Benton County, Tennessee.¹ Alma Lena Hargis died on 2 December 1970 at Benton County, Tennessee, at age 69.¹

     Alonzo Hargis was born in March 1870.¹ He was the son of Joshua F Hargis.¹

     Alonzo Hargis was born on 15 June 1906 at Whetstone, Pulaski County, Kentucky.¹ He was the son of John Lewis "Jack" Hargis and Martha Stogsdill.² Alonzo Hargis died on 13 April 1982 at Somerset, Pulaski County, Kentucky, at age 75.¹
