Henry was born on Saturday, July 4, 1789. He was the son of Henry Helm Floyd , Jr. and Francis Crosby. Henry, age 29, was married to Ann Threlkeld Wednesday, January 27, 1819. Henry, age 45, was married to Elizabeth Atkinson Thursday, November 6, 1834. Henry died on Monday, April 19, 1858 at age 68 years, 9 months and 15 days.

Henry was born on Monday, September 21, 1761 in Prince William Co., Virginia, British Colony.1 He was the son of Lt. Henry Bruce Floyd , Jr. and Nancy Ann Helm. Henry, age 21, was married to Francis Crosby Sunday, July 20, 1783 in Fauquier Co., Virginia, USA. Henry died on Friday, September 6, 1850 in Waverly, Union Co., Kentucky, USA, at age 88 years, 11 months and 16 days.
He enlisted in the War of American Revolution from Fauquier County, Virginia in the spring of 1780 when he was 19 years old. He was a Private under Captain John O'Bannon and Colonel Churchill, and re-enlisted in the fall of 1781 under the command of Captain William Grigsby and Colonel Edmunds, who were under the command of General Stevens.
He made application for pension on October 21, 1833 in Union County, Kentucky and was approved.
He was a Lieutenant under George Rogers Clark in "The Reduction of the British Posts in Illinois", and "Conquest of the Northwest" by W. H. English, Vol.2 pages 839-840. He received 2,156 acres, lot numbers 65, 107, 230, 284, and 154.
He was a Colonel in the War of 1812 and was with General Jackson at the Battle of New Orleans when he defeated British General Peckenham.
He is buried in a beautiful spot on the "Old Floyd Farm", one mile from Waverly, Kentucky and one half mile from the "Dixie Bee Line" highway and eight miles from Morganfield, Kentucky. His grave is marked by an old cedar tree which was planted by his son Henry Crosby Floyd, whose gravestone in intact with clear dates.
He has land grants in Union, Jefferson, and Edmonson Counties, Kentucky and Indiana for many thousands of acres for war services.
