Daniel was born circa 1760 in Lunenberg Co., Virginia, British Colony.1 He was the son of Cornelius Crenshaw and Martitia Winn. Daniel was married to Nancy Dupree, daughter of Joseph Dupree , II and Nannie Sullivan, circa 1781 in Lunenberg Co., Virginia, USA.1 Daniel died between August 20, 1794 and September 10, 1795 in Lunenberg Co., Virginia, USA.2 Daniel had his will probated Thursday, September 10, 1795.
Daniel Crenshaw was a Private in the Revolutionary War. Served in a Company designated at various times as Captain Nicholas Hobson's and Captain John Hookaday's Company 6th Virginia Regiment commanded by Colonel John Gibson. He enlisted February 17, 1778 for one year, and was transferred in October 1778 to Captain Benjamin Talisaferro's Company, 2nd Virginia Regiment commanded by Colonel Christain Febiger. He was transferred in November 1778 to Captain John Stoke's Company, same Regiment and was dischared on February 17, 1779. He was as Valley Forge Pennsylvania on February 17, 1778. between February 17, 1778 and February 17, 1779 in Lunenberg Co., Virginia, USA.3 He left a will on Wednesday, August 20, 1794.

Eliza died on Monday, September 18, 1854 at age 1 year and 5 days.1 Her body was interred after September 18, 1854 in Pleasant Valley Cemetery (Pleasant Valley Christian Church), Pleasant Valley, Henderson Co., Kentucky, USA.1
