     Susan was born on Friday, June 13, 1845 in Kentucky, USA.1,2 She was the daughter of Thomas Spencer and Mary D. Crook. Susan, age 20, was married to Samuel Robert Denton, age 21, son of Samuel David Denton and Sarah Jane Barnett Agnew, Wednesday, November 22, 1865 in Henderson, Henderson Co., Kentucky, USA; Married at the home of Thomas Spencer.3 Susan died on Monday, December 14, 1931 at age 86 years, 6 months and 1 day.1,2 Her body was interred after December 14, 1931 in Spencer Cemetery (Frog Island Road), Henderson Co., Kentucky, USA.1,2
     Susan (age 4) was listed as a household member living with Thomas Spencer on the 1850 Census, on June 1, 1850 in Household No. 592, District No. 2, Henderson Co., Kentucky, USA.4 As of Wednesday, November 22, 1865, her married name was Denton.
