Thomas was married to Nancy Ann Green, age 25, daughter of Duff Green and Barbour Duff, Saturday, March 14, 1778 in Fauquier Co., Virginia, USA.1 Thomas was married to Tabitha Williams Saturday, March 1, 1817 in Logan Co., Kentucky, USA. Thomas died on Wednesday, October 15, 1845 in Franklin, Simpson Co., Kentucky, USA, at age 92 years.
Thomas Marshall McClanahan also went by the name of Devil Tom and The Indian Fighter. He was a Private in the Revolutionary War between April, 1775 and December, 1783 in Virginia, USA.2,3 They was listed as a beneficiary in Rev. William S.
