     Berryman was born on Wednesday, January 31, 1753 in Amelia Co., Virginia, USA. He was the son of Thomas Green , Sr. and Lucy Davis. Berryman, age 25, was married to Ann Prichard Monday, May 25, 1778 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia Co., Pennsylvania, USA. Berryman, age 35, was married to Nancy Terry, age 26, daughter of Nathaniel Terry, Tuesday, January 6, 1789 in Halifax, Halifax Co., Virginia, USA.1 Berryman died on Wednesday, September 14, 1825 in Halifax Co., Virginia, USA, at age 72 years, 7 months and 13 days.
     He was clerk of Halifax County. He served in the 1st. Regiment of the Light Dragoons, commanded by Colonel Theodorick Bland, was commissioned Quartermaster on March 31, 1777 and Paymaster on January 1778. As Captain he resigned on April 9, 1779. He was Captain of the 6th. Company in 1785.
