The Koch family has been traced back to August Koch who is believed to have arrived in the United States with his wife Henrietta and son Moritz. The family settled in Chicago, IL. He died in the early 1900s. His wife died in the 1910s. Moritz Koch married Emilie Silinki in 1886 and they had three children, Anna, Otto and August. Moritz worked in Chicago as a barber but moved in the early early 1900s to Wisconsin where he became a farmer. The three grandchildren, Anna, Otto and August grew up and each had children of their own. |
