Thomas J. O'Hara was born either in Ireland or Pennsylvania about 1845. If he was born in Ireland, he immigrated to the United States as a small child. The first definitive record that has been found is an 1880 Census entry in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania. He was married to Mary Cummings about 1874.
