James was born 1839 in Carroll co Ark,
He was the son of Henry and Ann Wilson Hughey.
He Married in carroll co in 1862 to Elizabeth Leathers Lipps.A widow with 3 children.Idaline born 1856,Sarah born 1858 and J.R. born 1860
He and Elizabeth had 3 children;
[1] Estella born 1864
[2]James Robert born 1866
[3] Jasper F. born 1870.
in 1870 they lived in Carrollton Township which was now in Boone Co.
James died bt 1870-80 as on the 1880 census Elizabeth is listed as a Widow.
