Some folks like to brag that they are half Swedish or maybe three-fourths English.... My grandmother was proud of being "three-quarters Gilmore and half Rowland". Although her family was temporarily in Arkansas when she was born, she claimed the rights of all children of Virginia-born parents: 100% citizenship in Virginia for herself and all her descendants. Virginians know why. |
