Spartanburg County, SC, Deed Book G, pages 67-69. Daniel Hammett sold Elizabeth Quarles 47 acres on the east side of the Pacolet River at Hurricane Shoals. September 19, 1798. The deed was witnessed by Nancy Quarles September 15, 1800. The location is one mile south of the US Hwy 29 bridge over the Pacolet. David Quarles owned the property on the west side of the Pacolet at that point.

1790, Union County, SC. 2 males less than 16, 2 females [including Elizabeth]. Ten families are listed between Elizabeth and Moses Quarles/
1800, Spartanburg County, SC. 1 male under 10, 1 male 10-16, 1 female under 10, 1 female over 45 [Elizabeth]
1810, Spartanburg, SC. 1 male under 10, 1 male 10-16, 1 female under 10, 1 female 10-16, 1 female over 45 [Elizabeth]. Hubbard Quarles[16-26] and his family, 3 boys less than 10 and one woman 16-26, lived close to Elizabeth. All other Quarles families had moved from Spartanburg County by 1810.
1820, Pendleton District, SC. 1 male 10-16, 1 female 16-26, 1 female over 45 [Elizabeth]. David and other Quarles are listed close by.
1830, Not found by name, but David Quarles [QV] has living with him a woman in her 70’s. It seems very likely this was Elizabeth.
