[left] Bath Rooms — On board the disinfecting boat. the emigrant is shown to the bath-room, where he is thoroughly washed.

[center] This view shows the opposite end of the cylinder opened, and the car partly drawn out, filled with the emigrants' clothing and bed linen. Each emigrant is stripped naked, his clothing made into a bundle, and a check pinned thereon, while the corresponding number of check is placed around his neck.

[right] This view shows the iron cylinder closed, and the engineer on the point of turning on the vapors consisting of sulphur, formaldehyde and steam.
