He was a Freeman in 1633 but was disenfranchised 3 Sep 1639 for being drunk and was not restored to the Freeman status until 5 Jun 1644.
On 15 Oct 1646 William Spooner came before the Govt. and undertook to save the towne harmless from any charge that might befall by reason of a child that Mrs. Coombe left with him when she went to England. On 1 Aug 1648 the court ordered thatWilliam Spooner keep the children of Mrs. Coombe and not dispose of them without further order of the court.
