Palmer Journal

William Campbell, 60, died Tuesday noon after a four-months' illness with consumption. He was born in Paisley, Scotland, and had been in this country about 40 years. He learned the cotton mill business and was overseer in various plants,being located for a time in West Warren, but more recently had been in Huntsville, Alabama. Besides his widow, he leaves three sons; William of Torrington, James of Warren, and Walter of Cambridge; three daughters, Mrs. David Butler ofCambridge, Mrs. James Crane of Torrington, and Mildred Campbell of Warren. The funeral was held this afternoon, and burial was in Warren.

Palmer Journal

The funeral of William Campbell who died last week Wednesday was held from his residence on Jones St. last Friday afternoon. Rev. Thomas C. Richards, pastor of the Congregational Church officiating. Arcturus lodge of Odd Fellows, of which hewas a member, attended in a body, and escorted the body to Pine Grove Cemetery, where they held their burial service. The bearers were; Thomas Carey, J.T. Campbell, John Caldwell, James Chapman, John Rycroft and Joseph Tait.
