Descendents of Maria Anna  Bauman and Jacob Druar

      MARIA ANNA  was born Abt. 1823 in United States, and died October 16, 1847 in Waterloo Twp., Ontario.  She married JACOB DRUAR September 09, 1836 in New Germany ( Mary Hill ), son of HENRICI DRUAR and MARIE PUTSCHER.  He was born August 13, 1811 in Breidenbach, Lorraine1, and died February 28, 1881 in St. Clements, Ontario, Canada.

     Joseph Bauman appears as a witness to the marriage of Maria Anna to Jacob Druar. I believe this to be Maria Anna's father. As far as I can determine, he is the only Joseph Bauman who was Catholic in the area at the time. On June 22, 1844 Caroli (Charles) Stuart and Catherine Bochet baptise three children in Wimot Township. Joseph Bauman and Maria Anna Druar are the witnesses for two of the children. On the marriage record of Joseph's daughter Johanna Bauman to Alex Ochs in 1845, it states Joseph's residence to be Wilmot. Maria Anna died in 1847 at the age of 24 years. Jacob Druar remarried Dorothy Kunkle. These are little pieces of information that lead me to believe that Maria Anna is Joseph and Josephine's child. If the Druars lived in Puslinch after their marriage, I wouldn't be so indecisive. The Druars lived in Waterloo Township (Kossuth area) and I then find them in Wellesley Township (1861) near St. Clements. The problem is, their marriage record doesn't state their parents, just the fact that Joseph Bauman and Jerome Fogaley (Vogel?)

In 1834 Jacob is on part of Hestands Tract in Waterloo with Conrad Campbell, Michael Johnson, John Sneller and Jacob Dunworth.
