She married
WILLIAM JOSEPH BLACK September 08, 1897 in Paisley St. United Church, Guelph,
Ontario, son of ROBERT BLACK and HANNA BOLLS.
He was born March 17, 1872 in Puslinch Township, Ontario, Canada, and
died August 03, 1926 in Hespeler, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Notes

Clara E. Black
A resident of Hespeler for the past 55 years. Mrs. Clara Elizabeth Black
died this morning at her residence, Black St. She was in her 80th year. The
late Mrs. Black was born in Wellington County near Morriston. She was a daughter
of the late Joseph Bowman and the former Catharine Fetter.
Mrs. Black was a member of the Christian Brethren Church of Guelph.
She is predeceased by her husband Willam Joseph Black. Surviving are one
son, Calvin of Hespeler and four daughters, Mrs. John Ruttan (Ivy) of Parry
Sound, Mrs. Magnus Christenson (Jean) of Kitchener, Mrs. Alick Stuart (Eileen)
RR6 Guelph and Mrs. Edward Arno (Verle) of Fort Erie.There are 22 grandchildren
and 39 great grandchildren.
Also surviving are 2 brothers William Bowman of Preston and John Bowman
of London and three sisters, Mrs. Henry Leach (Carrie) of Oshawa, Mrs. Emma
Johnson, River Road, Hespeler and Mrs. Harry Black (Ollie) of Guelph.
The late Mrs. Black will rest at the Stager Funeral Home, Galt St.,
Hespeler from Thursday evening. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
Interment in the Hespeler cemetery. Notes

Mr. William Black is moving his portable saw mill to Mr. Ironside's woods
at Morriston where he will have fully three hundred thousand feet of logs to saw

The death of William J. Black occurred at his residence, Cooper St, on
Tuesday afternoon, after an illness extending over several months. The deceased
was born in Puslinch Township, 54 years ago, the son of the late Robert Black.
For many years he was a thresher in this neighborhood going 5 or 6 years ago to
the Parry Sound District where he carried on a saw mill business at Deer Lake.
He returned to Hespeler last fall not in the best health, having suffered a
paraytic stroke. He is survived by a wife and 6 children Florence (Mrs. W.
Cosgrove ) of Burlington, Gordon of Guelph, Ivy (Mrs. John Ruttan) of Parry
Sound, Jean , Eileen, Verley and Calvin at home. There ar 6 grandchildren. Mrs.
Jas. Currie is his only surviving sister. The funeral will be held on Friday
afternoon. Interment being made in the Hespeler Cemetery.
