 CATHERINE CECELIA¹⁰ BOWMAN was born February 22, 1874 in Puslinch, Ontario, Canada, and died November 05, 1901 in Hespeler, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. She married JOHN MCCONNELL October 18, 1890 in Hespeler, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada¹, son of JOHN MCCONNELL and HANNAH DOLSON. He was born Abt. 1868 in Woodstock, Ontario².

Children of CATHERINE BOWMAN and JOHN MCCONNELL are:

i. FRANK¹¹ MCCONNELL³, b. June 17, 1892, Beachville, Ontario³.

Notes for FRANK MCCONNELL:

At the time he enlisted, Frank was living with his father in Galt. His name appears on the Puslinch Cenotaph.

ii. ELIZABETH MCCONNELL, b. July 11, 1894, Hespeler, Ontario.

Notes for ELIZABETH MCCONNELL:

Witness to the birth was Edith Bowman of Puslinch. The attending medical doctor was Dr. Anthony Ochs.

iii. JANE MCCONNELL.

iv. WILLIAM JOHN MCCONNELL³, b. December 1898, Beverly Township, Ontario³; d. October 01, 1918, Overseas -  WW1.

Notes for WILLIAM JOHN MCCONNELL:

Killed in action with the 111th Battalion

HESPELER HERALD-Oct. 31, 1918

Mr. John McConnell has been officially notified that his son 730,192 Pte. William McConnell has been killed in action on Oct. 01. The deceased was born in Beverly Township and was 23 years of age. He was employed as a labourer and enlisted at Hespeler with the 111th Battalion on Dec. 10, 1915.
