She married JOHN MUNCH September 22, 1874 in Preston, Ontario, Canada, son of PETER MUNCH and MARY KOCH. He was born August 14, 1838 in New York State, U.S.A., and died September 04, 1912 in Puslinch Township, Wellington Co., Ontario, Canada.

Notes for CATHERINE BOWMAN:

The attending doctor to Catherine's death was Dr. Hutcheson of Hespeler. The witness was William Munch, Catherine's son.

DEATHS

JOHN PETER MUNCH

The death occurred in Kitchener yesterday of John Peter Munch of Hespeler, in his 75th year. Mr. Munch was born in Puslinch Township, and had been a resident of Hespeler for many years. Surviving are four brothers; Anthony, of Preston; William and Wesley of Hamilton and Fred of Hespeler. Another brother, Arthur of Hespeler, predeceased him in 1950. Mr. Munch is resting at the Stager Funeral Home, Galt St. until Monday, when removal will be made to St. Mary's R. C. church for requiem high mass at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Hespeler R. C. Cemetery.

JOHN PETER MUNCH

Funeral service for the late John Peter Munch, who passed away on Friday in his 75th year, was held this morning with requiem high mass at St. Mary's R. C. church at 9:30 a.m. Rev. J. F. Ford officiating. Pallbearers were Joseph Haney, Harry Bowman, Lloyd Munch and Edward Bowman of Hespeler and district, and Roy Munch, of Galt. Interment was in the Hespeler R. C. Cemetery.

Notes for MARTHA CLAYDON:

Martha Claydon was a sister to Harriet (Annie) Claydon who married Frederick Jacob Munch. They came to Canada together about 2 weeks after the Titanic sunk according to Helen Couling.

MUNCH, George Wesley-In Hamilton on Monday January 19, 1953, George Wesley Munch, beloved husband of Olive Gardham, in his 65th year. Resting at W.R. Coutts Funeral Home 96 St. Andrews St. Funeral services on Thursday Jauary 22, 3:30 pm. Interment in Mount View Cemetery.

Notes for OLIVE GARDHAM:

The funeral book of condolences states that Olive's maiden name was Clark and not Gardham. Perhaps she was married before her marriage to Wesley Munch.

DEATHS

FREDERICK MUNCH

Frederick J. Munch of 252 Queen St., S., a lifelong resident of the Hespeler area , died Wednesday at the South Waterloo Memorial Hospital. He was 82.

Mr. Munch was born in Puslinch Township and was employed for 25 years in the maintenance department of Dominion Woolens and Worsted before retiring in 1966.

An Anglican by faith, Mr. Munch is survived by his wife, the former Annie Claydon; on son, Lloyd of Cambridge (Hespeler), one daughter, Miss Arthur (Helen) Couling of Guelph; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is predeceased by five brothers.

Mr. Munch is at Nelson's Funeral Home, 23 Galt, St., Cambridge (Hespeler) where funeral services will be held Friday at 2pm. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens, Breslau.

LONG TIME TOWN RESIDENT

DIES IN MEMORIAL HOSPITAL

A long time Preston resident, Anthony Joseph Munch of 79 Francis St., died this morning in the South Memorial Hospital, Galt, in his 90th year.

Born in Puslinch Township August 29, 1875, the late Mr. Munch moved to Preston in 1928 and was a carpenter by trade. He retired from self-employment in 1955.

Deceased was a adherant of the Lutheran church.

Surviving besides his wife Rebecca Speckeen, is one son Roy of Galt; a daughter (Doris) Henderson of New Brunswick; two brothers, Fred of Hespeler and William of Campbellford.

Funeral arrangements are in charge of the Maurice J. O'Brian Funeral Home and will be announced in Saturday night's edition of the Reporter.

i. ROY J.11 MUNCH, b. March 23, 1921; d. April 17, 1990, Cambridge, Ontario, Canada; m. RITA MARGARET LAUGHRAN; b. May 18, 1920.

Notes for ROY J. MUNCH:

Roy Munch was a lifelong resident of Cambridge. He was a well known and respected contractor and president of Roy Munch and Sons Inc. for 40 years. He served in the Armed Forces during WW11 and was a member of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic church.
