HESPELER HERALD-JUNE 19, 1930 - HESPELER WOMAN INJURED The Globe on Monday contained the following account of an accident in which Mrs. Elizabeth Stremble of Hespeler was injured. Shortly before 6 o'clock Saturday night two cars truck in a head on collision a short distance east of Summerville, and five persons were injured. John Egan, aged 60, of 75 Northcote Avenue, Toronto, who was driving west, was badly gashed with flying glass. He was picked up in an unconscious condition and hurried to St. Joseph's Hospital, along with his wife Mrs. Kate Egan; their invalid son, James, and Mrs. Elizabeth Stremble, aged 84, mother of Mrs. Egan, who were in the car. All were badly cut with glass, and the elder Egan is also suffering from possible external injuries. John Logan of 44 Catharine St. North, Hamilton, the driver of the other car, sustained several broken ribs, as well as abrasions, and was taken to the home of a sister at Waterdown. All the injured were attended at the scene of the accident by Dr. H.W. Godfrey of Cooksville and Highway Traffic Officer J. Palmer, who is investigating the affair.
