Puhek Inama Family Trees.

This page documents the work I have done in hunting down my and my husband's family histories. This has been a project of almost 30 years in the making and I'm sure it will run for many more years. I hope with this page that I can help others who are trying to find some of their histories.

Want to thank all those people who have helped me get this far. With out their help finding information on the Puheks, Gastons, Beavers, and Barnhills as well as so many others I would still just have a big file of dead ends. So I hope this will help others as well, people can feel free to E-mail me with questions on any of the information I have posted here or if they have any information they would like share.

Please Note that this page is still under construction, and so links may not work yet. Thanks
This is the first draft of this page. There are no links right now, but we will getting more of the sub pages up soon. Thanks
If you would like to search through some of my information you can see it at The World Connect Project

Puhek

John M. & Anna Puhek July 17 1909

We believe that the Puheks originally came from Germany or Austria and lived there as peasants. In the 1300's they were moved south to clear parts of the forest near what is now the Slavic countries of Croatia and Slovenia. They settled in what is now Slovenia and lived in the area around the city of Crnomelj.

In the 1800's the Puheks came to the US and settled in Calument Michigan. (Information Provided by Theodore Puhek 25 Aug 1927 to 18 June 2001) From there our part of the Puheks (Edward Puhek 1919 to 1993) came to Spokane to work at Kaiser Aluminium during World Word 2.

For more Info on the Puheks you can Go to the Puhek page.

Inama

Leo & Prima Inama 1930

We believe that the Inama Family was a "well off" family in the Province of Trento, Italy. We have records as far back as the 1300's that we are working on confirming and translating.
Our part of the Inamas(Leo and Primia Inama) were married in Italy at the Malgolo Catholic Church by Father Evcher in Oct. 27 1920. The two left for the US in Oct. 29 1920 on the the Vessel Corsican for their honeymoon and arrived in Canada and then continued to the port Buffalo New York arriving in Nov. 19 1920. Then made their way to Canbondale Colorado where Leo's "Brother in law" had a potato farm. They never made their way back to Tentino, and we are still working to find out why.

To find out more info on the Inamas and why Leo and Primia may not have made it back click on the Inama family link.
