Note: A copy of the death certificate for Jacob SYERS states that
his father was Daniel SYERS born in Germany.
Other researchers have provided me information on Jacob. The
informant was Casper SYERS. It also shows that he was in mining
and employed by Northern Coal Company. According to the death
certificate, this Jacob lived in Equality for 38 years. This
would mean that he had moved to the area ca 1881.
