ERNEST E. & MARY ANN (SARRETT) DeVASHER; lived with her mother MARY C. (SMITH, SARRETT) YOUNG when they were first married, "SMITH Home-place" 3021 Bellefountaine Ave. then later removed to 2727 Kensington Ave. Kansas City. MO., where they lived until their divorce. ERNEST E. DeVASHER; was "Self Employed" and had a Floor Layer business, which this writers father PAUL R. SARRETT, Sr work for, several years off and on. I remember Uncle Ernie, very well. He was a very humorous funny man, there isn't a time I can remember, when he would not joke with us kids. Every time I smell any kind of Shellac or Paint Finish, brings back fond memories of my Uncle Ernie.

Mrs.Mary Angela (Sarrett) Devasher, Irwin, age 63yrs, of 5722 Michigan, died Saturday at Research Medical Center. She was a lifelong area resident. Mrs. Irwin was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, 5814 Euclid, Kansas City 64132. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She leaves a son, ROBERT K. DeVASHER, 5101 N.E. Ridgewood Drive; a Stepdaughter, Mrs. JOYCE (IRWIN) HIGHFIELD, 307 Barat; and three grandchildren. Service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the "D. W. Newcomer" Chapel at Brush Creek and Paso; Officialant, Rev. FRANCIS SCHUELE, of St. Theresa Church; Organist MARTHA BROWN; Interment at Mount Washington Cemetery, "Eagles" services will be at 8 p.m. today and the rosary will be said at 8:30 p.m., at the Chapel, where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m....
