I am a descendant of Spencer Clark brother to Olive Clark who married Wiley Surratt. Attached is a document on Clark descendants that may be of interest to you. Our records show that Wiley Spencer, Jr. born ca. 1877 did not die an infant and neither did Minnie. My mother has pictures of them as children. But we lost track of them in the early 19th century. Ans: Kay, their was no "Attachement" plese resend. The 3 Children born to this Union 1. 1st Dau: Minnie, b. c1876 Not Traced! 2. 1st Son: Wiley Spencer, b. c1877-1878 d. Infant! 3. 2nd Son: William, b. c1880 Not Traced! This info came from http://www.kindredkonnections.com/ I'm sure Minnie SURRATT married and we can't find her because we don't know her married name. Incendently, on the Latah county internet site there is a WWI database that shows a Wiley Surratt that is too young to be either of these men. Wiley III? Also on the Social Security database there is a Wiley Surratt born 1922 died 1964 whose SSN was issued in Washington. Lot of the Clark, Estes, and Surratts seem to have gone back and forth from Idaho and Washington, so again I wonder if he's one of us. I have Family Tree Maker. When you do a "Report" text file it doesn't select all family lines, so if you need info on more people, do not hesitate to ask - I may have it!. Ans: Just, the info. on Wiley S. & Olive (CLARK) family. Surratt, Wiley S. born Mar 29 1849 died April 20, 1902 aged 53 years and 21 days. "Our father, he's gone to a mansion of rest, a glorious land by the Diety blest" Surratt, Olive S., wife of W.S. Surratt, born Mar 11, 1855, died Sept. 9 1896, aged 41 years 5 mo. & 28 d. "She was a kind and affectionate wife, a fond mother, and kind to all" This comes from the listing of cemeteries in Latah Co. by the Latah Co. Gen Society, in 1981. Even better, I found an inquiry on your family site from my cousin Devon regarding Minnie Belle Surratt West. There was also a query there regarding Minnie Belle's mother, Olive Clark. What a find that was. I must, however, add to your research this tidbit: I do not believe, either, that Wiley S. Surratt, Jr. died in infancy. My grandmother, Mabel West Nicholas had pictures of him as a young man. Surratt" born Wayne County, Tennessee and his wife "Olive S. Clark," their children Wiley, Jr, William, and Minnie.
