State of Tennessee, Sumner County - In the presents and name of the Almighty God Amen. I William Redditt knowing life uncertain and death certain have this day thought proper to dispose of my little estate as follows, being now in strong mind.

I firstly, for the love I have for my wife Fanny Redditt give and bequeath unto her all my household and kitchen furniture also all my stock and likewise the proceeds of a negro woman and child by the name of Lucy and Silvy which I have sold to Wm. Cavensh? after paying off all of my just debts. I also appoint John C. Outlaw as Executor to this my last Will and Testament and also authorize Outlaw to settle with all of my creditors as well in my lifetime as after my death so far as he may think necessary.

Given under my hand and seal this ninth day of January in the year of our Lord One Thousand eight hundred & twenty three. William (his mark) Redditt (Seal)
