I, Mary Vaughn do make and publish this as my last Will.

First. I give to my daughter Frances Gillespie my house & lot in the 5th Civil District Sumner Co., Tenn. bounded as follows on the North by G. & N. Turnpike, on the East by Dr. Josh Franklin heirs on the South by L.& N. R. R. and on the West by William Douglass containing by estimation one acre.

Second. I give to my son Lucelius Vaughn my bay horse.

Third. I give to my son William Douglass the thirty three dollars & fifty cents that he owes me.

Fourth. I leave my hogs to be sold & proceeds to go towards paying my debts.

Lastly. I do hereby nominate and appoint H. C. Gowen my Executor without bond. In witness whereof I do to this my will set my hand this the 24th day of Aug. 1895. Mary (her mark) Vaughn (Col)

State of Tennessee, Sumner County Court September Term Sept. 3rd 1896.

A paper writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Mary Vaughn dec'd was this day produced in open Court for probate, when the same was duly proven by the oaths of R. S. Williams one of the subscribing witnesses thereto, when the same was ordered recorded as said last Will and Testament of Mary Vaughn dec'd.
