In the name of God Amen:  I Thomas Todd of Sumner County and State of Tennessee being sick and weak in body, but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God I do make and ordain this my last will and Testament, that is to say first I give and bequeath unto my beloved Daughter Margaret Todd One Black Heifer.  Item I give and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Pennelope Todd the first Heifer calf that does come in my stock.  Item I will and positively order that all my just debts be duly paid.  Item.  I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Susannah Todd all and every of my personal estate, during her natural life, then to be equally divided

among my six children; Lastly I constitute and appoint my trusty friend Henry Belote my true and Lawful Executor of this my Last will and Testament and do hereby utterly dismmiss revoke and disallow all and every other Testament will Legacy, bequests by me in anywise before made satisfying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and Testament.  In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed my seal, this 18th day of August in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and two.
