I Sophia Gillespie being sound in mind do hereby declare this to be my last Will & Testament.

Item 1st. I will to Nancy Harvey the interest of five hundred dollars during her natural life time, at her death to go to Jesse Cage's children.

Item 2nd. To Robert Gillespie two hundred dollars.

Item 3rd. Allen Gillespie fifty dollars.

Item 4th. All the balance of my property, I will to Jesse Cage and his children.

I appoint Jesse Cage my Executor to my will. December 24th 1829. Sophia (his mark) Gillespie (Seal)

State of Tennessee, Sumner County Court Feby Term 1830.

The last Will and Testament of Sophia Gillespie dec'd was exhibited in open Court for probate and was duly proved agreeable to law by the oath of W. C. Carr a subscribing witness thereto and ordered to be recorded whereupon Jesse Cage the Executor therein named appeared in Court and entered into bond with George Elliott and Wm H. Douglass his securities to Wm Carroll Governor & in the sum of three hundred dollars conditioned as the law directs and took the oath of Executor prescribed by law.
