I, Mary Sarver, being of sound mind and memory, do make and publish this as my last will and testament.
Item 1st  My will & desire is that after the payment of my debts, that my adopted daughter, Isabella Meador shall have all of my estate both real & personal with the exception of my negroe Thomas, who is to have the benefit of his own labors & have under the control & management of the said Isabella, who, in case said Thomas as shall become unable to support himself, is to support him & take care of him, the legal title to the said Thomas to be vested in the said Isabella with the above vestreteous.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand & seal this 7th February 1859.
