In the name of God Amen! I Robert Lawrence of the County of Sumner and State of Tennessee, being sick and weak in body but in my right mind and disposing memory, and knowing the certainty of death and that it is appointed for all men to die do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say)

Item: My will and desire is that all my just debts be paid of which there is but few.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my step son Henry H. Daughtry one bed and furniture to him and his heirs forever.

Item: I give and bequeath unto Benjamin Gainer (son of Patsy Gainer wife of Thomas Gainer) fifty dollars to him and his heirs forever.

Item: I give and bequeath unto Nancy Gainer (daughter of Patsy Gainer wife of Thomas Gainer) fifty dollars to her and her heirs forever.

Item: I give and bequeath unto Alfred Gainer (son of Patsy Gainer wife of Thomas Gainer) fifty dollars to him and his heirs forever.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Mary Lawrence

all the balance of my property of every description real & personal and that she may dispose of it as she may think proper.

Item: I constitute and appoint my beloved wife Mary Lawrence and my friend Hudson Thompson my Executrix and Executor to this will, as witness my hand and seal this 13th day of September 1828. Robert Lawrence (Seal)
