In the name of God, Amen
I Edmond A. Ramsey do make and publish this as my last Will and testament hereby revoking and annulling any and all wills by me heretofore at any time made.
It is my will and desire that my funeral expenses & all of my just debts be paid.
I direct that all of my property both real and personal be sold and all debts that may be due me be collected and that the proceeds  be distributed among my children and grand-children as follows viz:  A one seventh to my daughter Lizzie Cora Halvert.  A one seventh to my daughter Tennessee Lillie Bond:
A one seventh to my son Edmond Thomas Ramsey: A one seventh to my daughter Henrietta Brown Denney:
A one seventh to my daughter Sallie Ann Ramsey:
A one seventh to the two children of my deceased son John M. Ramsey to wit, John Edmond Ramsey and Thomas Henry Ramsey and they are to take share & share alike:
A one seventh to the nine children of my deceased daughter, Mary Ella Gourley to wit; John Alexander Gourley; Willie Darnall Gourley, Author Francis Gourley, Lillie May Gourley, Rebecca Perl Gourley, Henry Harry Gourley, Samuel Edmond Gourley, Minnie Mearl Gourley, & Sallie Elizabeth Gourley, and they are to take share and share alike.
However, before making the distribution aforesaid I will & direct that twenty five dollars be deducted

from the one seventh share of the Gourley children & that twenty five dollars be also deducted from the one seventh share of the children of my said son Jno. M. Ramsey and that the same be distributed equally among the others five shares.
It is my will and I direct that my Executor sell the land on the best obtainable terms, but not for less than twenty four dollars per acre, nor upon such terms as would postpone the last payment longer than three years.  Until the land is sold I direct that my Executor rent it out and from the rentable he will Keep up the place & premises & preserve it from deterioration.
I appoint my son Edmond Thomas Ramsey Executor of this will and I also appoint him as Trustee of the two funds going to the children of deceased daughter Mary Ella Gourley and the children of my deceased son John M. Ramsey.  My said Trustee will pay their shares as they arrive at age of majority.  In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand this the 29th day of October 1898.

The testator E. A. Ramsey declared to us that this foregoing instrument of writing is his last will and testament and he signed the same in our presence and at his request we have signed our names as witnesses in his presence & in the presence of one another.  Witness our hands this the 29th day of Oct. 1898.

A paper writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of E. A. Ramsey dec'd was this day produced in open court for probate when the same was duly proven by the oaths of C. W. Gray and R. E. House subscribing witnesses thereto when the same was ordered recorded as the last will and testament of E. A. Ramsey dec'd.
