State of Tennessee, Sumner County - Be it remembered that I Charlotte Cole of Sumner County and State of Tennessee being weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory blessed be Almighty God for the same do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (viz)

I give and bequeath unto Daniel Allen all my messuage and tenements situated lying and being in Sumner County and State of Tennessee a certain tract or parcel of land containing twenty acres lying in the first District and in an Easterly branch of Madison Creek - Beginning at a small walnut in Jenning's North boundary line near a spring; thence East sixty poles crossing a branch to a beech and sugar tree; thence North forty-five and one half poles to the beginning and as to all the rest of my personal estate goods and chattels of what kind and nature so ever. I give and bequeath the same to said Daniel Allen his heirs and assigns forever whom I hereby appoint my sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament thereby revoking all former wills by me made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the seventh day of July in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty Two. Charlotte (her mark) Cole

Signed sealed published and delivered by the above Charlotte Cole to be her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at her request and at her presence have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses to the same:

State of Tennessee - Sumner County Court August Term 1823 - The last Will & Testament of Charlotte Cole dec'd was exhibited in open Court for probate and thereupon duly proved by the oath of Benjamin Taylor one of the subscribing witnesses thereto.
