Ordered by the Court a majority of the Justices named in the caption voting for the same that Wm Carson a colored Pauper on the farm of Jesse Branham be refered to the commissioners of the Poor to be cared for by them.

The Report of the Commisioners of the Poor was read and ordered to be spread on the minutes said report is as follows, January 4th, 1886. To the Honorable County Court of Sumner County, We your commissioners for the poor House, Beg leave to submit the following report to wit; We employed Mr. T. P. Dennis as superintendant for the year 1885 for the sum of two hundred dollars in County warrants ($200.00) less fifteen dollars for wintering and pasturing one two year old filly, we furnishing his family in provisions out of such Produce as is raised on the farm. We also employed John Roberts as a farm hand for the sum of Ten dollars per month in cash or twelve dollars & fifty cents in warrants.

The following is a list of white inmates.

Produce raised on Farm, 200 bbls corn, 5000 binds oats, 104 bush, wheat, 15 Tons Hay, 50 bush Irish, 60 bu sweet Potatoes, 40 bu Turnips, 200 lbs tobacco, 145 Gal Sorghum Molasses, 3964 lbs Pork.
The following amounts including cash on hand as per last report, have been received by us for Produce & c.sold from the farm Three hundred & sixty six dollars & five cents, $366.05 for which we are entitled to the following credits

Ordered by the Court, a majority of the Justices named in the caption voting for the same that Tom Tuttle be remanded to the Poor House Commissioners. Thereupon the Quarterly Court adjourned until 3rd Monday in January (18th) to complete the business of the term.
